With the rising popularity of the Lanzarote region, not only are there many new restaurants and attractions, but there are a growing number of world class resorts and hotels. The construction of these resorts has been a necessity because of the recent rise in tourism that has hit the small island.

One of the most famous of all hotels is the Grand Hotel in Arrecife. Since the island is famous for it’s beautiful landscapes and scenery, there has been much dispute as to whether high-rise buildings should be built on the island. The Grand Hotel is the only high rise that has ever been constructed there. It’s recent renovations have turned it into a favorite on the island.

If you want to really take advantage of a quiet and peaceful holiday, you should visit a smaller resort like Matagorda. This resort offers many amenities that are found in larger resorts, but on a much smaller and quieter scale. You can enjoy quiet beaches that are only ten minutes away from the town of Puerto Del Carmen.

If you are looking for some real class, then you need to check out the area known as ‘Millionaire’s Marina‘. It is situated on the south east part of the island in an area called Puerto Calero. You can enjoy a stay at two luxury resorts called Hesperia and Iberostar Costa Calero.

The Gran Melia Salinas is the oldest of all Lanzarote resorts. Visitors will love the fact that every room has a view that looks out to the sea. The resort houses a swimming pool that was designed by the most famous Lanzarote architect, Cesar Manrique.

Plan your trip well and find a hotel or resort that will fit your needs and you budget. There is no doubt that the quality of the hotel that you choose will have a huge impact on how much you will enjoy your holiday.
