You will find that the island of Lanzarote is not short on dining at all. There is a bustling nightlife in the larger cities, and there are also many fine restaurants that will allow you the opportunity to enjoy fine dining while on the island.

First of all, if you are looking for a quick eat you could enjoy any one of the many restaurants along the Avenida de Las Playas in Puerto Del Carmen. This area is like a mini-version of the Las Vegas strip.

But, if you are looking for a more unique experience, check out a restaurant called Amura. It enjoys a great sea-front location in Puerto Calero, very close to Puerto Del Carmen. You can enjoy fine cuisine while looking out to sea. El Bodegon Del Mano is a small steak house in Playa Blanca that you might enjoy if you are looking for a small and quiet place to eat. Don Camillo is another steakhouse in Playa Blanca that you might enjoy. It is known for having a great pizzeria as well.

There is a very unique restaurant called Restaurante Playa Quemada in the area of Playa Quemada. This is a very popular restaurant that is very secluded and serves amazing sea food. El Tomate is considered to be one of the top restaurants on the entire island. In fact, many heads of state make El Tomate their first stop once they land on the island. They are known for their home-made Joachim Rosenthal. You can find El Tomate new Puerto Del Carmen.

So, stick to the larger areas for a more fine dining experience, but keep searching around because the smaller more rural restaurants can sometime provide you with the most memorable experiences. Always make sure that you call in advance to set up reservations.

i have just come from Lanzarote, and tried italiana restaurant MammaCarla, in old town near Biosfera shopping center.
The food was amazing (particularly anything made with the owner’s Mothers special tomato sauce recipe), the service was first class and it was fantastic value for money.
